Susan is an award winning cake designer and has been in the baking industry for 35 years, having began her career working with a manufacturer, creating custom decorated corporate cookies and doing all the R&D work associated with the accounts.

From there, she branched off and began working for herself, operating a renowned cake shop in Toronto Canada.  Her path then brought her to Wilton Industries, where she taught and held the position of Key Accounts Manager. After leaving Wilton, Susan joined the Bakeries and Food-service team at Pillsbury.

Within that role, Susan was the Regional Sales Manager, and Technical Representative, running the Bakeries & Food-service Test Kitchen.  Following her stint in the corporate world, Susan began teaching at the Bonnie Gordon College of Confectionery Arts.  Susan now focuses her efforts on teaching in person and through her online school Learn to Cake, where students can learn all aspects of baking and decorating.

Susan is a world renowned cake and cookie artist, who travels the globe to teach and judge at industry shows.  Her work has been featured in magazines, television and film.  Susan is just as inspired by all things sweet, as she was when she first began her career, so many years ago.
