Calling all aspiring bakers, culinary students, and dessert dreamers!

Do you:

  • Whip up epic creations at home? ‍

  • Dream of meeting your baking idols?

  • Want to see how the pros work their dessert magic?

This is your chance to level up your pastry game!

If you can say YES! to any part of that, then we invite you to register as a volunteer for the inaugural National Pastry Conference (NPC).

We are in need of many volunteers to attend and assist us in operating many facets of the show to ensure we execute a smooth and efficient event.

volunteers to assist in the following functional areas:

  • Kitchen Hands: Assist in the daily competitions

  • Stage Hands: Assist in timing and support the Emcee and Pastry Note Speakers

  • Demos: Assist in setting up and facilitating chef demos if the breakout rooms

  • Front Office/Ticketing: Assist in customer relations, check-in/badge pick-up, and ticket sales

  • VIP Attendants/Runners: Attend to our VIP sponsors and help coordinate needs/requests

  • Show Floor: Runners to address/coordinate the needs and requests of all vendors

For those interested in helping the National Pastry Conference usher in a new era of pastry competition, unite all facets of the pastry industry under one roof, and invigorate the public and professional interest in the pastry arts on the national stage, we will be offering a swag bag of products and discount codes from some of the biggest companies in the industry to those volunteers who are able to commit to and support all three days of the conference. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Transport and Lodging: Each volunteer will be responsible for securing their own transportation and lodging for the duration of the event. A code will be sent in the volunteer package for those interested in getting a room in the NPC room block at the Charlotte Marriott City Center, availability is limited.

  • Availability: Each volunteer will be responsible for attending and supporting each event day, Flexible schedule, typically from 8am to 4pm (with some opportunities available as early as 7AM or as late as 6PM), Thursday through Saturday, 29-31 August 2024.

    • NOTE: We welcome all volunteers who may only be able to support for one or two of the three days, but we will be unable to offer a swag bag in the scenario

  • Meals: NPC will not provide full meals, but may have water and snacks available. The Park Cafe will be open daily throughout the event.
